Kim Kardashian files for divorce

Kim Kardashian (Kimberly Noel "Kim" Kardashian), an American businesswoman, socialite, television personality, model, and actress, officially filed for divorce from NBA player husband Kris Humphries.

Kardashian began dating the NBA player Kris of the New Jersey Nets in October 2010. They became engaged in May 2011, and Married on August 20, 2011 in Montecito, California. It was reported that Kardashian and Humphries would make $17.9 million from the nuptials, and that they paid nothing of the $20 million costs associated with it. At least, three $20,000 Vera Wang gowns and $400,000 worth of Perrier Jouet champagne were given free, as were invitations from Lehr & Black estimating $10,000 and $750,000 for catering for the 500 guests at the reception.

After just 72 days of marriage, Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries on October 31, 2011, citing irreconcilable differences.

Here's a video of the couple having a fight back in Thursday night (October 27). They were seen arguing in Kardashian's car after leaving Izakaya restaurant in Hollywood. At one point, Kris was seen getting out of his beloved's car in a huff.

While Kim wore a $1,930 lamb wool gilet by Jahaanara, Kris wore jeans, trainers, hoodie and cap worn backwards.

They arrived in separate cars, but the atmosphere turned even more toxic inside the luxury sedan. Kris can be seen arrogantly holding his chin up, while Kim responds with an angry hand gesture and a death stare.

Moments later, Kris exists her car, and how he eventually got home was unknown.

Kim Kardashian says in a statement:
"After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."
Kim's sister Khloe took to Twitter to defend Kim's decision, saying:
"Reading some these comments are so hurtful. I'm grateful for our fans who understand and are being respectful. Hate is disgusting. Love is everything."

"Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become closer! I love YOU."
In his own statement, Humphries claims to be "devastated" and willing to do whatever it takes to save the marriage.
